ACADEMICS RESULTS

CLASS X

203 students, 99 scored more than 90% marks, 74 between 80 to 89.8% marks and only 4 students attained marks between 70 to 60%. Thus every student passed the Class X Examination with distinction and first division.

  • Raghav Bansal stood first with 98.4% & topped Dehradun
  • Samarth Gupta second with 98.4%
  • Abhishek Chadha third with 97.8% marks.

CLASS XII

123 students appeared for the examination, out of which 34 scored more than 90% marks, 59 scored between 80 to 89% marks and no one secured less than 60% marks

SCIENCE STREAM

  • Ashish Deopa stood 1st with 98.3% marks
  • Nikhil Kala secured 2nd position with 97.3%
  • Nikita Negi was 3rd with 96.8% marks.

COMMERCE STREAM

  • AnushikaLuthra was 1st with 98% marks
  • Hargun Singh Anand2nd with 95.5%
  • Sagrika Joshi was 3rd with 95.3% marks.
  • Shubhi Gupta topped the school with 95%
  • Srishti Bhargava and Sanchita Pujari were declared 2nd with 90.5 marks each
  • KanikaRastogi with 89% was at the third position.

Pass percentage of classes X and XII was 100% in the Board Examination.

MAIN DISTINCTION

Summer Valley School has been ranked No. 1 in Uttarakhand and 13 in India in the Day-cum-Boarding category of schools by the Education World (EW), a renowned agency in the field of school education Research and Ranking. EW in collaboration with Delhi based C- fore conducted survey of top 1000 schools in India on the 14 parameters of education excellence which include academic results, competence of faculty, parental involvement and infrastructural assets of the school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  • In the Izhar-a-Hunar, an amalgamation of various co-curricular activities held at Hope Town School, our Quizzing team secured third position in the Inter-School Quiz Competition. At the RIMC, Dehradun where 20 schools participated our School Quiz team secured the second position.
  • In the Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition held on 1th August 2015 at our School, RohitVasan Negi secured the first position.
  • At the 'Katran' a competition held at Children's Academy, our School stood first in the Class IX category and III in the class XII Category.
  • In the Essay Writing and Extempore Competitions held at Indian Public School in the memory of Pt BhanuPratap Shukla, SnigdhaDobhal won both competitions carrying a cash award of Rs 51000/- in each, though she was only given 51000/- in one category as per the policy of the School.
  • Similarly our team won a cash award of Rs 10000/- in the Quiz Competition held at Indian Public School.

SPORTS

  • In Basketball Prachi Bhandari and PeenazShahin represented the Dehradun District in the Uttarakhand State in the Under-16 Category. Priyanjanan Wasson has been selected for the Nationals in the U-18 Category for the competition to be held at Ludhiana.
  • Diyanshi Joshi and IshitaPawar represented the state of Uttarakhand in the National Badminton Championship.
  • In the Roller Skating, six of our boys attained first position in the State Championship and 10 were runners up. Overall Summer Valley bagged second in the Competition held at DPS Roorkee.
  • In the Table Tennis VanshikaSaxena and Tina Rawat represented the State of Uttarakhand in the women's category at the National level. Tushar Pandey, AmoghRoutela, Sushant Joshi, Pranav Kalra, Devash Chauhan, Vanshika Yadav and Gargi Sharma are the State Champions. Pankaj Goyal and Tushar Pandey are representing the State at the 77th Junior and Youth Championship to be held at Dharmsala from 24 to 29 November 2015.
  • The shooters of the school have brought laurels to the School at the national level. After proving their mettle at the state level, 14 of them participated at the National Inter School Shooting Competition held at Delhi from 12th to 17th October 2015 and won five bronze medals in various categories. The National Level Competition is to be held later this month at Delhi
  • The School organized the third Invitational Football. A total of 16 teams of reputed school of Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh took part in it. The Asian School won the tournament. It was a grand success.
