ACADEMICS RESULTS

CLASS X

A total of 200 students appeared in the Board Examination out of which 77 scored above 90% marks, 83 scored between 80% to 90% and 40 students scored between 72% to 80% marks. No student scored less than 72% marks.

  • RohitVasav topped the school with 98.4%
  • Aanchal Jain was declared 2nd with 97.4%
  • Kartikey Singh Bhandari was declared 3rd with 97%

CLASS XII

103 students appeared in final examination out of which 34 scored more than 90% marks, 30 between 80 to 89%. 39 scored between 70% to 80% marks.

SCIENCE STREAM

  • KartikKohli topped the school with 96.25% marks
  • VaibhavNauriyal, Shreya Kumar Tyagi and DivyaKuriyal were 2nd with 95.25% Somansh Garg was declared 3rd with 95% marks.

COMMERCE STREAM

  • Shubhi Gupta topped the school with 95%
  • Srishti Bhargava and Sanchita Pujari were declared 2nd with 90.5 marks each
  • KanikaRastogi with 89% was at the third position.

Pass percentage of classes X and XII was 100% in the Board Examination.

MAIN DISTINCTION

Summer Valley School has been ranked No. 1 in Uttarakhand and No 9 Pan-India in the Day-cum-Boarding category of schools by the Education World (EW), a renowned agency in the field of school education Research and Ranking. Education World in collaboration with Delhi based C- fore conducted survey of top 1000 schools in India on the 14 parameters of educational excellence which includes academic results, competence of faculty, parental involvement and infrastructural assets of the school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  • A quiz competition 'Travel Quest' was organized by Thomas Cook in which 12 Schools from Dehradun took part. It was won by the Summer Valley School with a trip to Malaysia. The team comprisedShubhamGusain and SambhaviMewar.
  • In the Inter School Quiz Competition held at St. Thomas School as part of their centenary celebrations our School team comprising RohitVasav and Aditya Rawat won the first position. Similarly in the inter School Debate Competition the team of RohitVasav and PriyanjanaWason won the second position at St. Thomas School.
  • In the Inter School Hindi Debate competition held at our School, wherein teams of 16 Schools participated, MrinaliniDhyani of our school scored the first position . In the Hindi Kavya Path Competition held at Hope Town School on 13th August 2016. Aditi Kothari of our school stood at second position.
  • In the Inter School English Debate Competition at St. Judes School our school was at the second position.
  • In the Hindi Essay writing Competition held at Wadia Institute wherein 12 schools participated, Summer Valley scored the first position. The participant was DivyaRawat of class XI. Here again in the Inter School Hindi Debate Competition MrinaliniDhyani, who spoke against the topic, stood second.

SPORTS

  • In Basketball Prachi Bhandari and PeenazShahin represented the Dehradun District in the Uttarakhand State in the Under-16 Category. Priyanjanan Wasson has been selected for the Nationals in the U-18 Category for the competition to be held at Ludhiana.
  • IshitaPawar represented the state of Uttarakhand in the National Badminton Championship.
  • In the Roller Skating, six of our students attained first position in the State Championship winning 20 medals.
  • In the Table Tennis VanshikaSaxena and Tina Rawat represented the State of Uttarakhand in the women's category at the National level. Sushant Joshi, Pranav Kalra, Devash Chauhan, Vanshika Yadav and Gargi Sharma are the State Champions. I would also like to inform you that with seven TT Tables, International level flooring and allied facilities, the School has the best TT Hall in Uttarakhand. To top it all, MrVipon Prince, the SAI Coach of International standing trains our players for this game.
  • After proving their mettle at the state level, the shooters of the school participated at the North Zone Inter School Shooting Competition held at Delhi from 06th to 10th October 2016. Eleven shooters are taking part in the Pre-National Shooting Competition to be held at Mumbai from 9 to 11 November 2016.
  • The School organized the fourth Invitational Football Tournament from 21 August to 28 August 2016. A total of 16 teams of reputed school of Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh took part in it. The Asian School won the tournament. It was a grand success.
