ACADEMICS RESULTS

CLASS X

  • Ashish Deopa topped the school with 97.4%
  • Tanishk Sharmawas declared 2nd with 96.2%
  • Ankur Joshi was declared 3rd with 95.8%

CLASS XII

SCIENCE STREAM
  • Aman Jain topped the school with 96.5% marks
  • NavoditaKandari scored 2nd position with 96.35%
  • Atul Sharma stood 3rd with 96%
COMMERCE STREAM
  • Bharat Aggarwal stood 1st with 96.3%
  • Pearl Gupta scored 2nd position with 95.5%
  • ShubhamDhakrey stood 3rdwith 92.8%

Pass percentage of classes X and XII was 100% in the Board Examination.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

  • Our School won the trophy in Turncoat Extempore Speech competition while our Hindi orators found their sublimation in Inter School competition at Hopetown Girls' School.
  • Life Insurance Corporation of India organized an essay competition wherein Gaurav Juyal and AkshatOniyal stood 1st in their categories. Similarly SnigdhaDobhal&Raghav Bansal scored second positions.
  • A team of 8 students from Summer Valley School stood 3rd in the poster making competition – The Mindspere – at St. Judes School. Rohan Vohra won the Mural making and Poster making competition at Hope Town Girls School.
  • In Izhaar-e-Hunnar competition held at St Georges College Mussoorie, AarohDhoundiyal&NeelabhTewari won 1st prize in movie making.
  • Anirudh Madan won the 1st prize for photography both at Hope Town Girls School and at St Georges College Mussoorie.
  • Summer Valley School represented by AarohDhaundiyal&PrarabdhRanjan participated in the TCS Quiz competition held at Lucknow. Our school team qualified for the final stage round amongst 1500 students from 700 Schools from all over the country and finished 5th in India.
  • We won the Hopetown Quiz with PrarabdhRanjan&ShreyTyagi as the team.
  • We also stood first in the 15th Annual Rajeev Khanna Memorial Inter School Quiz held at Scholar Home.
  • We were declared 2nd at 'The Quest' held at the Indian Public School again with PrarabdhRanjan and Ashish Deopa as our team.
  • At Milestone, a competition at St Georges College Mussoorie, the school team bagged the 1st Prize.
  • In the Inter School GK Quiz conducted by the RIMC, in which 40 schools participated our school team scored the third position.

SPORTS

  • ParabjotVirmani, VisheshChikara and Swati Negi represented the State of Uttarakhand at the 30thNational Basketball Championship held at Kolkata. Sagarika Joshi and Amina Rahter played at the national level Championship held at Ludhiana.
  • In District Basketball Championship held at Haridwar both boys and girls teams of our school achieved second position.
  • We have several shooters who have entered competitions at the national level. The girls' team comprising IshitaSajwan, DivyaKumari and Tushita Joshi has won the silver medal as a team at the National Schools Championship held at Pune. Among the boys, our silver medal winners are Asif Hassan and Shivek Saini. A gold medal was won by Meghna Joshi and DivyaKumari. Silver medals were also won by VisheshChikara, JyotiDiwan and SumitRuhil as a team. IshitaSajwan&Gurashish Singh have been selected for the All India National Shooting Competition.
  • ArchishaBijalwan qualified for National Skating and won a Gold Medal in the Inter School Competition while Anshika won a silver medal. Milli Negi won a Bronze medal.
  • Our School team took part in the Inter School Girls' Football Tournament held at Hope Town Girls School and won one of the two matches played.
  • The School organized its first Invitational Football Tournament from 16 to 24 September 2013. A total of 12 teams of reputed school of Dehradun took part in it. The Indian public School won the tournament. It was a grand success.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • A three days' tracking and sightseeing trip was organized for both boys and girls to Jim Corbet. Both boys and girls of class XI and XII tracked to the Bhadraj Top during the session.
  • Admission and career guidance has been provided to the students and their parents under the aegis of of a concern 'Admission Campuz'
  • A student oriented workshop was organized MrAkshitBatra, alumni of this School and the Doon School and his team spread over two days. 300 students from class IX to XII participated in it.
