169 of our students took the examination. 61 students scored more than 90%.

61 students scored between 80 to 90%. Only 5 students were between 60 to 70%.

  • PranjalShankdhar stood first with 97.2%.
  • Manas Bhatia second with 97%.


116 students appeared for the examination, out of which 35 scored more than 90% marks, 63 scored between 80 to 89% marks and no one secured less than 60% marks

  • Aditya Bhauguna stood 1st with 97.5% marks
  • Kartikey Singh secured 2nd position with 97%
  • RohitGujral was 1st with 95.5% marks
  • YagyaDalakotiwas 2nd with 94%


  • AkanshaJuyal, who took part in Debating and Essay Writing in the competition held at Indian Public School Selaqui, was adjusted overall first and apart from overall trophy was awarded a cash prize of Rs One lac and one thousand.
  • Our quiz team took part in the TCS Quiz Competition held at Lucknow. About 1200 students from 130 schools took part in the competition from all over the North Zone. Our team won the fifth position which is very creditable too.
  • In the Quiz competition held at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun, our team was adjudged second and same position we maintained in the Quiz Competition held by the Carman School.
  • In the Limca Book of World Records Quiz Competition held at Scholars Home, Dehradun we again bagged the second position.
  • In the prestigious Quintessence Quiz competition held under the aegis of RatnaSagarcompany we were at second position.
  • In the Computer society of India Quiz, our team of Atul Goyal and Varun Chamoli won the first position with cash award of Rs 12000/-
  • In the CNBC Quiz Competition, the Summer Valley School team scored the first position and qualified for the final round to be held at Mumbai
  • In the ESPN Olympic Quiz Competition held for the North Zone, our School team has qualified for the nationals.
  • Ashish Bisht of Class XII has qualified level II of the International Mathematics Olympiad and his International ranking is 399; a great achievement by all standards.
  • In the Inter School Hindi debate held at Doon Cambridge, AkanshaJuyal won the first position.
  • In the 26th Inter School Maharani GambhirKumari Memorial Debate Competition held at Cambrian Hall, AkanshaJuyal again won the first position and Snigdha the second with Summer Valley emerging as winners of the trophy.
  • In the Inter School Poem Recitation competition held on 1st Sep 2012 at our School, again Summer Valley was the overall champion and ShaileshRawat secured the first position.
  • The school put up an excellent show in the competitions held at Wadia Institute in connection with the implementation of Official Language i.e. Hindi, our team of AkanshaJuyal, SargamPanwar and Anwiksha Bhandari won the cash award of Rs 400/- and Rs 600/-.


  • DivyaKumari and Debanshu Bose participated in Youth National Basketball Championship as part of UttarakhandContigent.
  • In the Under 14 Category i.e. Sub Junior National Basketball Championship, Manu Pratap Singh of Class IX took part as member of the Uttarakhand team. The Championship was held at Goa (Vasco-da-Gama).
  • IshitaPanwar took part in the 5th All India National Badminton Championship held at Indore
  • Three boys and four Girls took part in the trials held at New Delhi for selection of the National Shooting Championship IshitaSajwan has scored her place up in the National team.


  • The students (both girls and boys) of class XII did rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh apart from under taking tracking and adventure sports. The tracking in the Bhadraj hills was another bold step these students undertook.
  • For the first time a team of forty one of our students accompanied by four teachers headed by Mrs. Sunita Oberoi visited US from 27 October to 08 November 2012 on an educational tour. The students from different streams and also of junior classes formed part of the contingent. It is during thistrip that they had the opportunity to visit NASA Centre wherein they had firsthand experience to see the launch of space activities, interaction with the astronauts and feel of zero gravity scenario. Apart from having meal with astronauts they had the opportunity to find answers to thie quest from them, in person, which is a unique opportunity indeed. The students visited Orlando, where they enjoyed a helicopter flight. The other highlights of the tour were a visit to Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, a visit to the Kennedy Space Centre, Rocket Garden, 3D I-Max films, visit to a Mall Millennia, a cultural exchange programme, lunch with astronauts, experience a zero gravity trainer, a bus ride to Boston, a visit to MIT University, see the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, New York's Time Square and a tour of the famous Central Park.
  • It is brought out for your information that ours is the first School not only in Dehradun but in the entire Northern India, which has established the THOTS lab. THOTS stands for The Higher Order of Thinking Skills, a laboratory process which helps the little ones to generate and develop their innate skills and focus their growing mental faculty to the best that can happen in any child.
  • For the students of higher classes we have organized special classes on personality development wherein the experts in this area hold lectures cum demonstrations and interactive sessions.
  • Another innovative step we have taken is to organize the venture 'Admission Campuz' for the students of senior classesi.e Class XI and XII.
