The school celebrated its Founders Day with great aplomb and gusto on 26th & 27th October, 2016. The Chief Guest on the 26th was Mahabanoo Mody Kotwal and Chief Guest on 27th was Dolly Thakore. The evening started with the welcoming of the Chief Guest by presenting him a bouquet followed by the annual report by the School Principal Col. (Dr.) Jaswinder Singh. This was followed by a speech given by the school captains Abhishek Chaddha and Priyanjana Wason.
Prizes were given out by the Chief Guest to the children who excelled in Academics, sports and co-curricular activities.
The main attraction of the evening was the Play "Lion King." The lion King is an award winning epic musical film by Walt Disney. It was released in 1994 on screen and in 1997, the 1 st musical stage adaptation was premiered. The Lion King has been one of the most famous musical since 1997. Disney's Lion King has been seen by more than 85 million people around the world with productions playing on famous theatres all across the world.
. Sun Valley School presented an adaptation of the Lion King. More than 700 children of classes L.K.G to V, aged between 3 years to 10 years have come together to put an enthralling performance.
The function also included a dance performance by the girls, an orchestra performance by the school children and a song by the school choir.
Trophies for the year are Best Sportsman- Vanshika Saxena,Mrs. Laj Wasu memorial trophy for gentle and caring character- Priyanjana Wason & Rakshita Vats, Sh. S. Wasu Memorial Trophy for High sense of Loyalty and Belonging tio the school- Manya Bagga & Prashant Chaudhary, Directors Trophy for Honest , Gracious , Hard working and aspiring to be a good citizen- Pranchi Bhandari, Principals trophy for all round accomplishment – Abhishek Chaddha, Mrs. Prem Oberoi memorial Trophy for spirit of Summer Valley- Antriksha Bhandari.
Founders 2016 was a grand success; it was a two day long celebration which was greatly appreciated by all parents and guests. The children and the teachers put a lot of hardwork to showcase all the talent that the children of Summer Valley had to offer.
